(Auburn, WA) We awoke bright and early to get ready for our first day back in WA and our first agility trial here in two years. It couldn't have been a better weekend.
We saw so many friends. A couple of them entered the trial just so they could see us our first day back. How nice is that! I couldn't believe how welcoming everyone was toward us. It really was the nicest greeting one could ever imagine.
Wazzu ate it up. She was so happy to see all her friends and so happy for the cool nasty weather. That's one thing Wazzu and I totally disagree on....the weather. But she was so extremely happy on Saturday. So much so that she was a little silly on course - just taking every fourth pole in the weaves, then making up her own course. And check out the air over the A-frame. Take a look.
Sparkie on the other hand was just happy to be doing agility with her daddy again....anywhere. Take a look at the fastest (and smoothest) run by any dog of any height for this Jumpers run. Notice how Mike is just standing still and Sparkie is doing all the work.
Boogie loves Jumpers and he showed his stuff on this 1st place run.
When we first arrived, 2iggie was very leery of people - like usual. But throughout the weekend we had her meeting a LOT of people...all who were very good at helping a shy dog. It didn't take long for her to warm up. Now she thinks that everyone at an agility trial is a food dispenser! By far her favorite treat was "Aunt" Pat's Tuna Brownies. We almost lost a dog! But Mike promised to make them for her someday so she decided to stay living with us.
The dogs all had a great day Sunday as well. Just thought I'd show you that Wazzu can be good...not just happy!
We all had a great weekend and we send huge thanks to everyone for giving us such a warm welcome home.
