Mike has been keeping an eye on real estate ever since we returned to Washington in March. Friday he took me took to see a place, Saturday we made an offer and today (Monday) the offer was accepted. We hope to close in just 10 days.
The property is in Arlington...where the heck is that! The property is five full acres and is completely fenced with a 4' chain link fence. About three acres is pasture land and two acres is heavily forested. Between the two is the house.
Well, it's not exactly a house. It's a 35 year old double wide mobile home. And everything in the house is original....read: very old!
Here is a small tour.
This is what you see from the road. If you look just to the right of the two tall trees on the left, you'll see a couple little bright spots. That's the house. This view shows about 1/3 of the front pasture.
Here is the entry gate - on the left side of the property as viewed from the road.
This is the view as you continue down the driveway.
As you get to the end of the driveway (approaching the house) there is a structure on the left side. I'm not sure what it is but it seems fairly sturdy.
Looking to the right of the driveway is the front of the house.
After you pass the tree you see on the left in the above picture, you veer to the right and this is what you see. Parking is to the left end of the house.
Here it is the middle of August and it is cold and rainy...as you can tell by our clothing.
Here is a close-up of the left end of the house. The sliding door leads to the master bedroom.
There is a deck all the way around the house.
This is the view of the back of the house and a very small portion of the back yard.
As you can see, there is forest land around the back side of the property. In fact, about 1/3 - 1/2 of the property is forested.
In the backyard is a small shed...much newer and sturdier than the house!
The dogs gave the backyard their seal of approval. Wazzu is flirting with Slick as Ozzie watches on.
Now a quick peak at the inside of the house. As you enter the front door there is a family room and dining room to the left.
To the right of the front door is the living room.
From the living room is a pass through to the kitchen.
There is a seating booth in the kitchen.
There are three bedrooms. The second bedroom has a nice built-in desk and small walk-in closet.
There is a second full bathroom. Although I've seen larger bathrooms in most cruise ship staterooms.
There. After that big tour, we don't know for sure it will be ours. You never know until it actually closes.
Thanks to Shari for taking some of the pictures used in this entry.

Good Luck at your closing Deb and Mike! Sounds like a great place that I'm sure you'll put your personal touches on and make it awesome!! :)
