(Arlington, WA) At 12:15pm today we drove into our new place.
Can't really say we moved in to our new house....as we aren't moving into the house. Can't really say we moved to our property...as there is a house. But whatever, we are here!
There has been a lot of changes going on since I've been here last. There was a lot of work that needed to be done before we could move in.
We needed:
A much wider gate so the RV would fit.
A 50amp plug since we'll be living in the RV.
A septic hook up for the RV.
Many large branches taken off a tree so the RV could get down the driveway.
In addition, we wanted hundreds of blackberry plants removed, we wanted many bushes/plants removed, and we wanted the front pasture tilled and smoothed, and an agility field built.
So all this work had been going on the last couple weeks. And when we drove up, the place looked so different!

New pasture: not what we wanted (thought it would be smooth)
But no matter what it looked like to us, the dogs were very pleased with their new yard. They investigated everything.
Boogie wasted no time doing terrier things...which of course includes digging.
He'd dig, dig, dig, and then put his little nose down into the hole.
He checked the hole many times.
While his nose was in the hole, he'd breath in really deep.
Off course his nose would then be full of dirt. When he'd come out of the hole, he'd breath out hard....and out would come a bunch of dirt!
As you might guess, if there is dirt in his nose, there is dirt on his nose.
I guess this is a sign of a happy terrier.
2iggie seems to be a very quick study and has decided she wants to be an honorary terrier. I think Boogie was digging for moles. But to me it looks like 2iggie is a "mouser".
Wow, what a digger. Look how deep she got her hole.
That's hard work. Need to take a short breather.
On the other hand, Wazzu spent most of her time under this HUGE rhododendron near the house. I don't know what's under there but this bush has got to be trimmed....even though it is quite the source of fun for the dogs.
That didn't last long. She then found some shade under a tree and spent the rest of the time watching bugs and other things.
After the playing was done, it was time for the little ones to get to work!
Mike was cleaning junk up....and look what he scooped up!
Looking out over the property from an old large downed tree.
