After our rather large detour due to Slugger's injury, we left this morning to drive to Corvallis, OR. This will put us back on our planned route - although some of our summer plans have changed to accommodate Slugger.
At first the drive seemed very hard on Slugger and Mike wasn't sure this was a good idea. But once we got on the freeway where the roads were smoother he seemed to find a comfortable position and did very well until we hit Oregon. The road got bumpy and he was in a fair amount of discomfort.
He seemed fine once we got set up at the fairgrounds. In fact, he was quite tired from the trip and immediately fell fast asleep.
We got a good spot for both the RV and for crating in the arena. We're all set for a fun weekend.
