Getting to Know Him

(Olympia, WA) Early this morning Mike had to take the car into the shop to get it repaired from when the uninsured motorist hit us. It's such a pain to be without our car! Mike rented a little car just so he'd be able to get back to pick up our car! If you ever get hit, try to get hit by someone with insurance as a rental car isn't covered otherwise.

While Mike was out, I was in charge of all four dogs. They are all so good! Boogie just followed the lead of the other three and rested. We took a few little walks around the RV park. Boogie is leery of people/dogs/movement, etc. But after a bit of investigation he gets over it just fine. One time during our walk he stepped in a puddle. He got so silly and started darting around this way and that. How cute.

When he'd wake up from a nap he was so good to go find one of his toys and entertain himself.



After playing for a while he'd be ready to nap again. His favorite place to nap is on the pillow next to Slugger. Slugger has always loved touching so he was in heaven when Boogie would sleep with him.



I just can't get over how well behaved this puppy is. He eats nicely, he entertains himself nicely, he comes when called, he respects the other dogs, he sleeps through the night, he's never pottied in the house, he walks nicely on leash, etc. The only problem we've noticed so far is that he likes to eat rocks and cigarette butts. So far we don't think he's swallowed any rocks. Needless to say, our first training is "leave it." He also needs a lot more socialization which we plan to work on just as soon as we get our car back!!

Wazzu is feeling a little put out by the puppy. So all day long she kept going into the puppy's kennel. Keep in mind this crate is small. But it didn't stop Wazzu from squishing up into a little ball to get inside. No matter how many times we made her get out, she'd go right back in.
