Taking It Easy

(Rochester, WA) Boogie and I stayed around the RV today while Mike and the dogs went out hiking. Inside we worked on a few things like come and sit. On our potty walks we made sure to say hi to various people. One time we were lucky enough to meet a lady with two dachshunds. As usual, the split second Boogie saw them he stopped in his tracks. Then as the dogs moved toward him he ran away from them to the end of his leash crying. When I wouldn't let him run away, he ran and hid behind my legs. But after a minute or two they all sniffed each other and all was fine. Then Boogie would dash at them and do big play bows and bark and bark. But those dogs were too fat to play. It was a good learning lesson though.

Slugger was totally mystified and hurt when he saw that we gave his job away this evening. We finished a container of yogurt and instead of letting Slugger lick it out (it's been his job for years) we let the puppy clean it out. As you can see, Boogie has a lot of learning left to do on this chore.

As Mike was going out to feed the dogs he noticed a double rainbow. One was very strong and easy to see - but the second one was too dim to show up in the picture. We could see the stronger one from end to end.

Unfortunately, we didn't see any pots of gold.
