Sparkie is so happy today as she got to do agility again...after all it's been a whole week! She was perfect today Q'ing easily in every run - and getting 1st place in each. Mike and Sparkie really worked as a team very nicely today. They achieved NATCH-7 on a beautiful Regular run. Then the important part....Sparkie got cheese!!
Wazzu was so happy today. I just love seeing her with such a happy face. She got three out of four Q's. The one she didn't get was a perfect clean run and she was very happy so I'm totally happy with it. Wazzu got both a Chances and a Weavers Q in one day so that made our day. Plus her Weavers run was the fastest she has ever done Weavers. It was perfect.
Little Slugger got to do Weavers today for the first time in a long time. He made time easily (yippee) but missed one pole in the set of 12. That is a huge improvement and we are so happy for him. He really seems to be enjoying agility now.
The people here in Florida are so nice! I can tell they don't do a whole lot of NADAC as people at check-in were asking for their armbands, wanted to know where the weaves were in jumpers, and carrying dogs in and out of the ring without a leash. But you couldn't ask for nicer people. So many of them are introducing themselves and talking with us.
And best of all, it's t-shirt weather! It's cold in the mornings and cools down very quickly in the evening but the actual daytime is very nice. Not hot at all - just right. The arena is VERY large and covered and stays cool enough that the dogs don't seem hot at all. I'd say it is in the mid-70's during the day.
Time to go climb trees and catch those squirrels. This afternoon Sparkie probably went 10-12 feet up a tree after a squirrel. She's so amazing....and crazy!
