On The Move

Mike had wanted to see some museums and sights around Charleston. The weather had calmed down but there was a tornado watch in effect until three that afternoon. I told Mike to go do his tour but he said he couldn’t leave us with the possibility of tornados in the area. I told him to go ahead – we’d either be just fine or dead so either way he might as well go. But I couldn’t convince him.

So, since there was nothing to do and we couldn’t get TV or internet, we decided to go towards our Friday destination and at least stay someplace that had free WiFi. So we went 100 miles or so north.

The park had room for walking the dogs and we were able to get satellite. So it was a fine place to hang out while waiting for the storm to pass. The news was pretty scary showing all the devastation less than 15 miles from where we had been only a day before the tornado hit.

Hope all of you in the PNW are doing okay. We’ve heard about the nasty wind and rains you’ve been having there as well. Stay high and dry.
