A side channel off the Minnesota River
Wazzu exploring a beautiful meadow
All along the hike was beautiful scenery
Our first task after getting the rig set up in the new park was to find a place for the kids to run. It's been a few days and Sparkie especially is getting a little hard to live with.
We found a park not too far away that we thought we'd give a try. On the way, we had to stop and wait for a train that was moving very slowly. Then just as the last car got to the road the train stopped! Mike opened the window to let a little air in and 5-10 mosquitos came in.
A few minutes later we got to the park. As soon as we got out of the car we were swarmed with mosquitos. We figured it wouldn't be so bad if we kept moving. It did seem to get better as we moved along. Then it started sprinkling and that really seemed to help.
But by then the damage had been done. I'm now trying to figure out if I got 4,000 little bumps or if I'm just one big bump! Oh well. The dogs had a GREAT time and it was very pretty - despite all those bugs that thought I was the tasiest thing to come along in a long time.
