We spent the week of October 16 in Joliet, IL which about 1 - 1.5 hours SW of Chicago. Mike and the dogs did a lot of hiking and exploring around the area. One day Mike went into Chicago and toured the Field Museum and went to his old college campus, University of Chicago. When he got home he was so proud of himself. He informed me that he hadn't killed any kids! Needless to say, I was glad to hear that. He said there were busloads of kids there and they kept leaning over all the display signs so he couldn't read about the displays.
