Pictures from Starved Rock State Park

Phew. Five hours later and I finally got some picture to load. I tried for four hours last night with no success. So frustrating. But anyway, here they are - hope you enjoy them!

Thursday we went on hike and came across another waterfall. This is a picture taken from behind the waterfall.

Most of the hike we were walking next to these large rock walls. You could walk above the walls but we felt this would be dangerous with the dogs so we chose the lower trail.

Beautiful scenery that we saw along the whole hike.

One of the many canyons we hiked through.

Wednesday we hiked through two canyons. The second Canyon was called Ottowa Canyon. It was so pretty and so large it was impossible to get pictures to show the beauty.

The first canyon we hiked through was Kaskaskia Canyon. There was a waterfall and a wonderful swimming hole for Slugger. Too bad it wasn't summer as Slugger could have swum for hours. He swam until we made him leave but he was shivering like crazy.

This shows some of the beauty the trail took us through.

Canyon walls.
