For those of you that didn't get the joke on our previous blog posting let me explain. Recently we went on a nice little hike where we saw a beautiful woodpecker. (See previous post for picture.)
As I was typing about it I wrote that it was a Pileated Woodpecker. Mike said - "no, change it to an Ivory Billed Woodpecker." He said there is a big controversy going on now about the Ivory Billed Woodpecker being exstinct but some people are claiming to have seen them. They look a lot alike.
So we thought we would claim to have seen one and see if anyone noticed. Well, in less than 20 minutes after making our post someone wrote in telling us it was not a ivory billed but was a pileated! You guys are good!

PS From the picture we took you can't tell for sure which it is. But more likely than not it is a pileated woodpecker.
