Gusty

Today’s drive took us to Mohave, CA. It was an extremely windy drive and we were getting blown around pretty good. This was really scaring Slugger so he wanted to sit in Mike’s lap. Oh course that wouldn’t be safe but Mike did make an exception and let Slugger have his head in Mike’s lap. Slugger felt a little more safe that way but had big eyes the whole ride.



We’re staying at a place called the Desert Oasis. I’m thinking if this is the oasis of the desert then there really isn’t much sense in ever coming to the desert!

The wind was really strong and there were super strong gusts – at least two every minute. The RV was really rocking and a rolling. We had a pit bull blanket! And with every gust the blanket would push down on us really hard. If Slugger could have gotten inside of our body I think he would have. The girls didn’t seem bothered one bit. In fact I don’t think either of them ever opened their eyes.

I guess tonight will be like sleeping in one of those rocking cribs – although not nearly as smooth.
