Jam Time

(Woodinville, WA) After taking the girls on a short hike and swimming Slugger, Mike took Wazzu and I out to Remlinger Farms to get a couple flats of strawberries. It was a pretty (but cool) day for a drive.

While Mike was buying the berries, Wazzu and I walked around outside. There is a very pretty little pond there.

It was full of many colorful carp.

The sides of the building are decorated with colorful artwork. And of course Wazzu wanted to pose for a picture! ha ha.

After we got back, Mike spent many hours making four (or was it five) batches of strawberry jam. He is a master jam maker and makes many different kinds of jam each summer. A huge thanks to Karen and Steve for letting Mike use their kitchen. That was so much easier for Mike than trying to do all that in the RV. It did make their house smell really good.

Karen was so nice. While Mike was busying making jam well into the evening, Karen took both her dogs and Slugger swimming. How nice was that!
