(Tucson, AZ/Las Cruces, NM) Yippee! Boogie seemed better this morning. Maybe, just maybe, we're finally turning the corner on whatever it is that is ailing our sweet puppy.
While Mike was getting the RV all ready to go, I took Boogie outside and we did a very tiny bit of Rally work. Well, mostly we just played the "get the cookie" game. My main goal right now is just to get him to think this is fun, as recently he has decided Rally is very stressful - which is odd since he is really good at it when he concentrates. But whatever the case, we're now going back to the very basics and just working on fun! He had a lot of fun but after just five minutes he was tuckered. He needs to slowly work on getting his stamina back.
Today was a good day for a long drive as the big dogs weren't feeling well (runny noses, sneezing, and lethargy) and Boogie was worn out - and still sneezing as well. I think they were all very happy to spend the day driving.
It was a nice drive and we arrived in Las Cruces in the late afternoon. Boogie always seems to remember that this was his original home as he was one excited boy. Way too excited to actually hold still and say "hi" to his mammu.
Boogie used to spend quite a bit of the day up in the dashboard. But today he decided to assume a new position. I don't know what brought this on but now he kneels on the little board and puts his head under the curtain to look out. Odd...but very cute!
